A magnitude 6.2 earthquake was reported 50 km SSE of La Libertad, El Salvador, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake occured Sunday 5th January 2025 18:18 GMT and struck at a depth of 49 kilometers.
It is not likely this earthquake caused significant damage.
