Major earthquake shakes near Sagaing, Myanmar

A magnitude 7.7 earthquake was reported 16 km NNW of Sagaing, Myanmar, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake occured Friday 28th March 2025 07:20 GMT and struck at a depth of 10 kilometers.
It is likely this earthquake has caused serious damage over larger areas.
