A magnitude 6.7 earthquake was reported 35 km E of Yilan, Taiwan, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake occured Saturday 27th December 2025 16:05 GMT and struck at a depth of 35 kilometers.
It is likely this strong earthquake has caused damage over a small region.
