A magnitude 5.5 earthquake was reported 108 km NE of Hengchun, Taiwan, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake occured Tuesday 25th August 2026 09:00 GMT and struck at a depth of 15 kilometers.
It is not likely this earthquake caused significant damage.
