Major earthquake shakes near Luganville, Vanuatu

A magnitude 7.2 earthquake was reported 27 km ENE of Luganville, Vanuatu, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake occured Monday 30th March 2026 10:44 GMT and struck at a depth of 88 kilometers.
It is likely this earthquake has caused serious damage over larger areas.
